Aerial removal

Evening all

I've bought myself a nice new stubby aerial, which arried today. All excited, I unpacked it and ran outside to fit it...but...how on earth do you go about getting the original one off? It undoes to a point then won't go any further? Tried searching but to no avail. Am I a dum dum?!

Thanks! On page 4 I eventually found it. Was never going to find it when the title was "my first mini mod"!!!!

I think "give it a huge tug" would have done th trick

It's a little 90mm aluminium one with 3 black rings near the top. It looked neat enough, and was a stupid price. Less than a pint of beer in fact. So, having read that very few, if any, stubby aerials actually work, I went for aesthetics!
