Aero Wiper Set...

Hi Guys,

My Leon came with those normal horrible wipers, and they were juddery

I've used Ace Car Parts on ebay before and I ordered an aero set for the car, both front and rear wipers for £8... result.

Fronts went on a dream... back simply won't fit...not the sellers fault I guess as they just pack up the sizes required... not realising the annoyance of the Leon rear wiper arm.

I see the Fabia conversions on ebay....

Main reason for this thread was to check that the wiper arm I have is actually the standard stupid one. I checked a mates MK4 Golf and it's a "normal" one on his.

Note how the "U" section is back to front, and the silly bend in the arm too...

£20 on ebay for Fabia, think I'll do that

Yep that's the 'normal' arse-backwards design of the Leon rear wiper great isn't it??

Once you get the Fabia wiper on you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner!

So a rear Aero will easily fit into the Fabia Hatchback/Estate arm?

I brought mine of the bay for £20 and it came complete with the aero arm and blade

The blade in the picture wont fit the Fabia wiper arm.

The only aero wiper that had the special skoda fitment I could find was 350mm long when the original wiper for the Fabia arm is 370mm long. So I just got a new OEM Fabia blade.

you can consider the VW Touran rear Aero wiper setup if you like another option.
i fitted the VW Touran rear wiper together with the front golf mk4 Aero wiper setup.

I've seen this on ebay for a tenner but the compatibility says its not for Seat Leon yet will fit Mk4 Golfs?? Should I ignore this chart then ?

up to you if you do, but i have it on my leon. i only had to trim the cap with a knife.
you can go to your local vw, audi, skoda or seat dealer with those part numbers and get a price for the parts, then you dont need the ebay.
