To be fair I'm not sure of the full spec on this. It had the upgraded seats, B&O system, sunroof but only rear sensors.

A better shot of the cabin

I've spec'd up my CUPRA 300 quite well and it's still coming in at just over £250 per month with just over 2k deposit.

I was adding an £100-150 for the golf R deals and they were standard. Dread to think about the cost of this.

Weird thing was after upgrading the spec on the CUPRA the price difference between that and the golf was negligible.

The lease price however was very high on the Golf.

Looked at the Audi through lease myself and it was astronomical monthly’s.

Got my 300 for £800 down and £260pcm which seems a no brainier.

I had an S3 for 4 days and a Cupra 300 for 4 days back to back on test whilst deciding on new lease. Loved the exhaust note on the S3, so so much better. But, I loved the Cupra drive (Yes, traction was better off the mark on S3), the Cupra was much more fun.

You can get a stainless 'resonator delete' for about £160, comes complete with the clamps to return to standard. This is what I'm considering when the Cupra arrives next year.

Check this out here: (I'm not connected in any way)

Just go to a local custom exhaust place and they can remove the centre silencer with allowance to refit if necessary in the future. Replaced with stainless straight pipe. Cost me £60 inclusive on my ST300

How’s the difference in sound?

Yes, we need a video with sound! Lol I've searched and searched online but all resonator deletes seem do be with performance rear box too.

Sound went from 'quiet' to 'audible' - certainly not loud. Some resonation at idle and low speed/high throttle.

Kind of raspy in nature.

Not intrusive and at motorway speeds is not really any different to stock.

Cracks and pops on overrun and on shift up are now actually audible inside the car but again not anywhere near loud.

I would say for the cost it is well worth it and not enough of a decibel increase that the Wife noticed. :)

Excellent, thanks for that.
