Aftermarket headunit - gaps.

Hi,

Just threw an old headunit into the car and wondered if I had perhaps missed a fascia surround plate or something... I got the one that fills the gaps from the overly wide OEM unit, but I have a gap running around all the edges where you can see the cage its in...

Apologies if I'm being really stupid!

Hi mate,

You'll need to get a fascia adaptor for the headunit

You put the cage through the adapter before it goes into the dash.

I have this fascia that I brought off eBay in my car. I have the Sony Bluetooth head unit, but still have gaps around my unit?

I think Matty is meaning the surround you get with the headunit, usually clips onto the front of the headunit?

I'll look in the box wherever that is, I never needed this in my Yaris. I hope I still have it

Photo will have to wait until after work - but that photo seems to show the exact thing I need... goodness knows where it is, I don't remember even having it but I assume I had to use it when the headunit was in the previous car.

Any ideas where I would get a replacement if it doesnt turn up?

You can buy them off ebay for about £5,
just type in your stereo make and either of the following til you find it..
Trim, Bezel, fascia, surround etc
