I have attached a picture of my seat ibiza 2010. The issue is it always blows boiling hot air at any temperature I set it to. The only time it is cold is when I set it all the way to 'low'. It will be the same hot temperate from 18 degrees all the way to the very hottest setting. Although as soon as you do one click below 18 and it turns to 'low', it will go freezing.

Clearly the heat and air con do work, but there is a problem with the car doing anything in between. Can anyone help here please?

There are some flap motors that regulate the direction of air, recirculate or fresh air and air temperature.

In your case, it sounds like the temperature flap motor is faulty, it will either be the feedback resistive track that is dirty or the actual flap is sticking slightly - my money would be on the positional feedback resistive track is the issue.

You could demand Hi, wait 30 seconds, demand Lo, wait 30 seconds - then repeat that maybe 10 times, that might be enough to clean up the track and/or its contact wiper, if it does, then it is definitely this temperature flap motor assembly that has failed, it might after you do this, continue to stay working for a few days or weeks, but I'd doubt if it will stay working for very long.

Replacing this flap motor might be possible for you to do - if you have the necessary skills and hand/finger size/strength.
