Hi,

I'm wondering if anybody has an idea what could be causing this.

When I turn on the air conditioning for heating it does heat the car.
But at a certain point it stops heating and starts blowing cold air.

It's as if it reaches a certain temperature and then stops the heat.

Any idea?

If you have climate control it will stop blowing hot(or cold) air when it reaches the set temperature, then it will blow warm or cool air necessary to maintain the set temperature.

If after warming the car initially, it then gets cold and doesn't warm up again, you have a problem and need to do a scan for faults in the HVAC system.

it's the latter - gets cold and doesn't warm up again.
Managed to get a scan - came up with:
01274 Air Flow Flap Motor - V71 Intermittent

does this mean the car can't stop the cold air coming in?

ah, this all makes sense.
I do often have the ticking sound behind the dash.
Thanks for confirming the issue.
Best get it sorted before the weather gets too cold

Ive got a very similar issue, used a snap on solus scanner but only had fault code b10ab??
