hi newbie here. I have fitted a pipercross filter to my leon but only sounds good when cold, is this because its just a filter and doesnt have al the cold air feed pipes or is there something else i can do

Do you mean a panel filter in the standard airbox? If so, to get more grunt out of it you could smooth and drill some holes in the airbox and fit a bigger airfeed to the box.

its a pipercross cone filter thats on it, a stole it off my dead redtop corsa

no is the short answer................

remove the bonnet insulation,uprate the d/v to a forge,or vag tunning one (samething)
stag one remap..........
twin air intakes and your sorted.... estmate 15 to 20% louder (i reckon)

only sounds good when its cold because the choke/secondary air source is in use - mine sounds mean first thing in the morning, but a bit drab by the time I get to work

feel like a mongo but a had a look for twin air intakes but no look, to be honest av not got a clue what the are
