Hello, I recently bought a Seat Leon fr tdi from a salvage auction site and it had the airbags deployed unfortunately! 'What a nightmare of a job changing them that was' Anyway I replaced from them from a Seat Leon fr tdi of the same year as mine so I thought there'd be no problem apart from having to connect the new airbag ecu into the system with vcds.
But here's the problem... I checked for error's using my vcds lead I'd just bought and it comes up with 3 errors all to do with the passengers side airbag deactivator switch. The thing is it hasn't got an airbag deactivator switch? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I see what your saying but I've installed the dash, front airbags and airbag ecu all from the same car, and there was no passenger airbag deactivation switch on the new dash, or wiring for it? Assuming that there in the glove box? Unless it was taken out before I bought the dash and airbag kit?
Any idea how the deactivation switch is wired in? is it wired into the passenger's airbag, or is it controlled by the airbag ecu?

Anyone know if I can disable it thinking it's got a deacticator switch? I know you can disable the passengers side airbag using vcds, so I would imagine you can disable the deactivator switch? Anyone know how to? Lol.

Having a right mare with this bloody airbag module! I went and bought a brand new one from the dealer and coded it exactly how Ross-tech said to using his vcds. At first I thought great, the airbag light went out and there was no fault codes! Then when I checked all fault codes it comes up with an engine fault saying there is a communication error with the airbag module! And ideas?

Think it just needed a few minutes to connect to it self as its now working all fine, no faults or error codes! Happy days. Now to fix the non working heater blower and see why it's telling me the instrument module is faulty?
