What an odd thing to be 'missing' - care to say more on the story as to where it might have gone?

The drivers' airbag is the heavy central part of the steering wheel, the part you push to sound the horn. You can remove it by releasing the clips with a screwdriver through the holes in the back of the steering wheel.

The airbag is electrically attached to the rest of the car via a flexible 'flat' 2 core connecting ribon.

Your horn works by grounding a connector against part of the airbag slip ring.
