Aircon Leak into Footwell

Hi All,

bought a 02 Leon 1.6 for my sister today - seems like a nice drive, except! on the trip home with the aircon on to dry the car out a bit the passenger footwell rapidly became wet!!

Checked and it's not getting wet from rain water, it's definitely the aircon unit. Is there a guide on getting to the unit, and taking some corrective action(s)?

hi when i bought my 02 tdi it was new and it also had a leak in the passenger side with the carpet very wet the dealer investigated and they said it was the aircon tube split and they said the dash had to come out to get to it they had it about 3 days
