Alana/Aura headunits. Are they similar....

I know this is in the wrong section, so apologies for that, but i need an answer asap. I've seen a Connects2 Ipod connector for the Ibiza Alana headunit and was wondering whether it fitted my Aura headunit. Apparently it fits into the CD prt at the back similar to the Aura Connects2 unit. Hope somebody can help me out with this as i've put it in the Ice section with zero success.

Its just that i've seen one for sale second hand for the Alana headunit and me being tight, i thought i could save a few pennies..

Hows this work then, do you just trail the lead from the cd changer port into the glovebox, then its possible to pla my ipod. I take nothing is displayed on the headunit so u just scroll through the ipod menus and select tunes that way.

Mine goes in the back of the headunit itself then trails out wherever you like.

Yes just click cd or on mine i have aux in so just use that, everything is then done from the actual player.

The aura is a 20 pin, my becker one only uses 3 of the pins.

Should fit the lead at the changer port, i can't recall how many pins it as.

Mine is similar to that but just the single block, rather than a longer strip, same principle though.
