Alana Aux - New Question!

I know there's been lots of Questions on the Aux of the Alana, this one is different....

I wanted to know, if it's possible to plug in a Male aux into the Alana.
I just bought one of those Smart Aux cables, but that has a Male connector, (for plugging it into your iPhone, etc.).
I want to plug an Aux IN, so will something like a female to female adapter work?

Thanks

It makes no difference whether the cable is male or female. The wiring into the Alana HU is still the same.

Not really sure what you mean: my standard Alana AUX ends in a female connection that I plug a male into

I have one of these coming out of my Alana (Male Aux)...(pictured below)...but want want to connect a male aux into the Alana.
Obviously, I can't connect a male to a male, so I was wondering if I could buy a female-female adapter, and connect the cable (below) in one end, and the male aux I want, in the other end?

yeh you could no problem, although a new male to female lead may be neater depending where you are putting it all

I'm guessing if you plug in your iphone to that lead it works but it isn't long enough

Ive used a few 3.5mm male to female, female to male adapters in the past and they work fine. I would avoid the very cheap one's on Ebay as they can be rather tight and pull apart when you try to disconnect them
