does anyone know what the button on the drivers side by the rear seats does?

It says in your owners manual.
I think you might got shot down in flames now for not searching before starting this thread.
 
It allows you to turn the alarm off from the inside, say if your keyfob isnt working, or loss of keys, and you need to smash a window, press the button, and the alarm turns off.







Or It provides a big search button
 
I thought it disables the interior sensors so if you are leaving a kid or dog inside the car it won't go off.
 
ok cheers guys, will have a looky looky later, would be good to do this so i can leave the car with the windows open outside the pub without the alarm going off.
 
you can lock the car without the alarm arming, put the key in the door then turn it left twice.
