Alarm system?

Hey all!

i have an mk4 ibiza from 2006 (sport), and from what ive realized there is no alarm system on it. (only the immobilizer, central locking etc).

How hard is it to install a proper alarm system onto it? and any suggestions or directions where to find one to buy?

are you sure there is no alarm system in it?
i thought they all came standard with alarms

if you wanted you could fit something like a clifford or toad system, there is many out there to choose from

My 1.2 S 02 plate doesn't have an alarm either

Mine doesn't have an alarm either.

It does involve cutting into the loom in a lot of cases (well it used to!) If you want it to count towards insurance it has to be done by a certified installer. Usually about £100 on top of the alarm.

Clifford FTW
Used to have a Clifford CAT 1 with proxies, tilt sensor, glass break, anti-car jack etc on my old Corsa, was about £400 fitted IIRC. Most decent alarm systems you can only buy including fitting IIRC.
You can buy kits to do it yourself but I really wouldn't want to risk it tbh, if it all goes wrong you're goosed.
