Alhambra radio updating

Hi, I've got a W reg Alhambra (1999?) and want to upgrade the tape/radio to a cd player.Is there an ISO cable that just straight converts everything to standard? I've been havign problems and some suto electric people have told me the remote stalk cable cant be converted and has engine management system functions going through it??? Any help would be much appreciated.

hi m8, ive just bought a alhambra on a 2000, and the stereo has been changed to a sony one. As far as i can see the leads just plug straight into the stereo with now changes

Thanks for the reply. Slightly reassuring I'll get it whipped out again and try plugging in myself, just as soon as I get some more of those prongs. Auto electric people must have swiped them!

Hi,

On a similar note, I have an 02 model. I want to replace the stereo with another from my other car, but the Seat model is larger. Do you know where I can get a cage or a facia so I can put a standard stereo in?

Try Halfords for a cage - they should be able to sort you with one.
