My orange K1 since I've had it has always had mismatched paint on the the bumpers from whats on the car, but now the paint is peeling and chipping like nobodys business!
Have had the paint looked at by a specialist, who in not so many words said the paint on the kit was not very good.
He then started checking paint thickness on the steel panels, and told me to expect 80-120microns thickness. My car was showing 280-390microns all over! Has anyone else every had the paint checked to this extent? Looking at the touch up pot I have, this colour does look pretty thick paint.
And has anyone managed to claim under warranty for poor paintwork on bumpers/body kits?
Have been told by Seat that it is possible, but have also been told i need to return to the dealer which fitted the kit which is proving to be an issue
