Good morning ladies and gents,
ever since starting my seat ownership journey in the Ibiza 6J I had, I’ve had a hankering for some MK1 Cupra R split 5 spoke alloys, all these years of not being able to either find them or afford them or even understand wheel geometry I’ve found some and now understand much more about wheel set ups, problem is I don’t own the Ibiza anymore, I have a 19 plate Leon, the MK1 alloys are 18x7.5 ET38 and the MK3’s are on 17x7 ET49, so they’d in theory fit, as they run the exact same set up as the Audi S3, problem being the PCD, for what ever reason it changed from 5x100 to 5x112, so that’d suggest PCD adapters, now the problem is PCD adaptors would add a minimum of 15mm essentially giving me a offset of ET23, which would push the alloys out 26mm from stock (if my maths are correct). Which probably won’t do, do we know if there is a way of custom drilling the holes on the wheel hub to 5x100 making them essentially a multi PCD wheel hub? (depending on brake discs)
obviously I am totally willing to let my dream of owning some Cupra R alloys die, if it gets too expensive to achieve.
any assistance is appreciated even if it is just bad news.
thank you and enjoy your bank holiday weekend!
