Due to the amount of miles I cover an sti or scooby was never financially viable :(

Happy new year to you too! I've had my TDI FR since oct 25th and done over 5000 miles and still love getting into it every time. Longest journey time in it was 6 hours including 1 food stop(all motorway miles) and got out just as fresh at the other end.

Already been said above .....its a great community here and lots of information to be found. I have to admit to looking through nearly every page of this section while waiting for my car to arrive:)

Big  to your current drive!

Both good choices.

Bear in mind with the TDi FR if you only use the car for shirt journeys you might hit the DPF problems (see various threads on this).

The Cupra is a good car, but if you are looking to save money on running costs, the mpg if driven enthusiatically probably isn't much better than the STi.

White is an amazing colour, a bit harder to get hold of at the moment I think, but I believe some dealers do have fairly quick access to some at the moment.
