As we are aware they are putting the tdci variant of the engines in the altea as of April 2009, and i have a couple of questions.

1, anyone tried the new engines? feedback?

2, are seat likely to load up the old models with load of extras to clear stock?

All the common rail diesels I have driven - various makes including VW Vans, always seem laggy with the turbo. My 136bhp Mazda 6 was terrible for turbo lag even though it had a variable nozzle turbo....
PD is a great system, higher pressure than common rail but not controlled, plus PD is very noisy compared to CR....

With regards to the second question, only time will tell I suppose...
