Altea radio fault

Hi

anyone come across this fault with the radio on their SEAT?
Its an ALTEA with the built in radio cd system

MW reception has gone completely - jsut fuzz. FM is fine although a little weak sometimes

Ive had the radio out and checked the Aerial and there are no loose wires so it must be in the radio unit?

any ideas?

There are 2 different radio types used in the Altea, both are made by Blaupunkt (BNO) but the question is which you got there exactly. Even though you don't see a loose wire doesn't mean it's not faulty, have you checked the radio for fault codes as well as the measuring blocks and checked the reception that way?

i dont have the equipment to check for codes unless there is a way of doing it on the radio itself?

I can see I am going to have to go to a radio specialist for some help on this
