Thats a bit of an Ooops on no 2! Pedro Gonzales must have been having a bad day to do that! Does the correct side light illuminate and they've put the wrong lenses on them or is it proper cocked up?

I noticed on one of the early showroom Altea FR's that it still did not have MP3 headunit. The combination of that and lack of heated mirrors and locking fuel flap that steered me a bit closer to buying the Leon.

Update On Altea Fr

Went to the dealer in Cardiff they have sorted out rear fog and reverse light
was told by fitter the above were fitted incorrectly at factory...
MP3/cd player is being ordered ...again dealers fault.. We had spoke to
SEAT UK this morning before we set out .When we told the dealer about our chat
with seat and gave them the information we were told the dealer stopped
trying to fob us off about the MP3..:D ..So hopefully we will be sorted ASAP.

Keep an eye on the Cardiff dealer.

They have a very poor repuatation and DONT send the car there for its servicing. From what I have read, that will be a can of worms. Go to the dealer in Swansea or JP Board in Bridgend.

They weren't brilliant when they allowed my brothers Altea through the 100point used car check thing with the cracked Dunlops tyres (there's another thread on here with the pix) but for car sales they're quite cheap!

I don't think i will be bringing the car back to Cardiff once we get the MP3 sorted
and will not go to FRF of Swansea..I had a Vauxhall and a Volvo from them
a all i can say is never ever again..I will take the Altea for servicing to another
dealer or an approved center when the time comes ....I must take a good
look at the car's tyres, thank's .Anybody got any Dealers/ service centers that they
have used ????.I don't mind if they are not i Wales. 100-150 miles.:) :)

As mentioned above jp boards are brilliant, I will be using them for servicing from now on, they know what they are doing, however they can't do warranty work as they are no longer main dealers just specialists. So unfortunatly its just a choice of FRF, white dove or thompson and thompson in caldicot for the warranty work. I've heard good things about holders of congressbury and amythyst in cheltenham but I have'nt used them personally.

Holders of Congresbury are very good. The Skoda people in Newport are also VW & Audi approved so I cant see why they wont service a SEAT too.

I dont't know if VW in cardiff do .But i do know that VW of Swansea were also selling Seats for a short time because i test drove a Leon.and there were
Seat's shearing the main showrooms.

Does the Cardiff VW centre service Seats? Are they any good??

I expect that any garage will service a seat, theres not many people who would turn away business regardless of what make car it is. I would have thought that this applies to both main dealers and joe blogs garage. As i said you can'nt go far wrong with jp boards in bridgend

So you sold your Altea on or whatever Paul linked one presumes to a company car... I'll still have mine in 10 years time... err with regard to build quality that come up from time to time try a VW Gol, Brazilian built car worthy of Fiat where one's having fun with them in Argentina plus the wine... another subject. The sterios aren't bad in them and they don't connect the tweeters either, works a dream with a cig. plug in MP3 SD card playor. Mind you Gols aren't up to Leon FR standards and you'd be daft to drive 17" wheels on unmade roads.

Yes,

I have always used them for servicing and bought 2 brand new cars from them when they where main dealers - excellent service from knowledgeable people every time. Much more a personal service than you get from the bigger garages. Theres no receptionist or telephone boy that you speak to to book your car in its all done through the machanic so no messing around tell him what you want and he will sort it.
