Alternator Removal on Ibiza Cupra / Bocanegra EA111 Engine

Need to remove the alternator on a 2011 Fabia VRS which has the same engine as my Cupra Bocanegra and just wondering weather anyone has had any experience removing the alternator on these engines? If so what's the best way to access this? Halfords tech thinks you'd have to remove the front grill and rad to even access it....

Definitely no need to remove the front grille or rad !
I had mine refurbished. My mechanic just put the car on the lift. He had to access the bottom of the car to remove a bracket and the connector and then pull it out. It was fairly easy to remove.
