thought i'd see just how many miles i could squeeze out of my cupra, now wait for it

467.8 miles to a tank, thats driving all a roads, on my 35 mile each way commute to work, past cadwell park, so its fairly hilly too

worked out to be 41.5 mpg even though the computer said it was 45.4 :D

so even a cupra with 200+ horses can return over 40mpg :p

well just thought i'd tell everyone how nice it was to almost get as many miles out my cupra as my old man does his mk4 100pd ibiza :D

nice, driving like a nun tho yeah?? gotta love them!

ian, off topic, but i really dont get your sig

What do I gota do to get that?! How modified is it then, cos even when i drive motorways i still get less than 300 to a tank! Mines got revo stg1, bcm filter, miltek cat back and fmic...

wasnt driving any slower than the traffic flow, infact, it seems the cupra is at its most economical at about 65ish, was still over taking things too though, i think more can be got out of it :D

smithy - its a joke from edition38, need to change it back to my old one really

sweet.

mines been around 19-22.5 over the last few days. although the other MPG readout has ben known to go from 7 up to 95mpg

 wasnt going that slow, can i get them bits off you next week, and that cash :D

normal runs to work and back every week...leaving at the height of rush hour and coming back home late at night i usually get 26-28mpg for the week. On motorway runs i can get uo to the dizzy heights of 33mpg so how you managed to eek 40+ mpg is a minor miracle but congrats! I had a mate that made it from london to manchester and back on his ibiza on one tank! He did drive like my grand dad but the savings really add up!

well in my siggy is my total average, if you click the link can start one up yourselves, its good,

the average in my siggy is from over a year now, including a trip to nurburgring and 2 trackdays :D

I cant understand how you guys get such good MPG. It must be the lack of traffic. I know traffic seriously effects MPG but i doddle in 5th most of the time and try not to take the revs over 3000rpm on most changes and i still cant crack more than 28mpg a week. But i do get alot of traffic most days!

What do you guys do to get a good mpg?
