First of all i would like to thank all the guys at AmD for a fantastic job and a very professional service when i visited yesterday.
The car is so much nicer in every way since the remap.
Its definatly faster!!
Its more economical if driven with economy in mind. (i got 63.2 mpg coming back from AmD sitting on the m25 in steady moving trafic.)
But mostly it just feel smoother and stronger in all gears! Overtaking is now really really good fun!!

After arriving at AmD Shaun took my car for a short test drive to check that all was well with the car before a map was added. He also ran a diagnostic test to check for fault codes of which there were none.
My totally "standard" car was then put on the rolling road to get an idea of the current power and torque. The figure that was achieved after a couple of runs was rather higher than i was expecting!
176.5 bhp and 277.1 lb/ft.
As far as i was aware the car was totally standard and i can only assume that the car had been tweeked a little by SEAT or its just an unusually powerful standard car!

Alex

Anyway that aside, the new AmD stage 1 map was added and the car was rolling roaded again with the addition of a new pipercross panel filter as recommended by shaun because the old one was looking a little dirty. And the results i am very happy with!

192.2 bhp and 308.1 lb/ft

Bearing in mind that map should get a bit more powerful once the ecu has fully adapted and that the temperature in the room was 25'C i am very happy!:funk:

The drive home yesterday was fun, but i went out in the car early this morning and it has got even better! the car is now a rocket ship. the acceleration in 3rd and 4th is just incredible!
Lets just hope the clutch lasts, but if not then i will not be too bothered as the map is defiantly worth it and with a new clutch it will be even more fun!!Although at the moment the clutch seems fine in all gears!:)

Rolling road print out to follow when i find a scanner!!

I saw your graph on Saturday. Pretty impressive as your car got really high before the map!

Sorry jonjay about the slow reply, i haven't had internet access for a while!
Thanks. yeah i was really pleased with both the before and after results! Do you think it could be possible that the car produced that power as standard? the reason i say it might have been upgraded by seat is because it was a demonstrator for 2000 miles.

anyway, here is the graphs for anyone else who is interested.

ooooo sounds like fun!

Please my I ask how much it was?

i promise you, i IS as fun as it sounds!!! highly recommended!
the cost for the AMD map was £399. speak to shaun at AMD. he is very helpful.

VAG diesel always tend to produce more power then stated plus add in the dyno lottery and those figure are very believable to me. Nice to see all the correction values at the bottom of the graph as well so it`s easy to see if any fiddling has been done. Apart from the flat spot between 2700rpm and 2900 rpm it`s a very nice looking graph. 192bhp finish minus 176 bhp start figure gives 16bhp increase for your money. Would be nice to have the car put on another dyno and compare the graphs and numbers.

mine standar only produce 132:( for a 130 obviously lol
good results

ps i got that flat spot in mine too from jabba why is that??

i am not sure what causes the flat spot, but i was told by AMD that they would expect it to smooth out a bit once the car had fully adapted to the map.
next time i have an opportunity i will get the car rolling roaded again, hopefully also in slightly cooler conditions, and see if the car has fully adapted.

strugers1, whats your 130 mapped to? also do you have a print out of a graph? would just like to see its shape for comparison.
thanks

also look at my progress thread in readers rides its got my graph but i got fmic and green cotton too
