Amplifier power cable seat Leon 2023 estate

Hi everyone,

I’ve got a 2023 Seat Leon FR Evo 1.5 TSI and I’m currently installing a Vibe Powerbox 400.1 amp.

I’m trying to route the power cable through the factory grommet underneath/behind the glovebox on the passenger side, but I’m struggling to locate where it exits in the engine bay.

So far I’ve:

• Removed the battery
• Fed a chopstick/draw rod through the grommet from inside the cabin
• Managed to get roughly 25cm through, so I know it’s entering the engine bay somewhere

The problem is I still can’t see where it comes out. I’m guessing it’s hidden behind insulation, the battery tray, or somewhere under the scuttle panel.

Has anyone with a Mk4 Leon / MQB Evo platform done this before?
If so:

• Where exactly does the grommet exit?
• What parts need removing for access?
• Is there an easier route people are using?

Once the power cable is through, I’ll be routing it to the rear for an Audison subwoofer install.
