Thought it was about time I started a thread on my "money pit"

I have a MK3 Cupra 280 Stage2 as a daily car which is due to go in June, probably for an Ateca so decided to get something that I can tinker with.

1989 G MK2 Golf GTI 8V in Royal Blue, MK3 Golf AHU TDI 90bhp engine conversion. The engine has a SAAB intercooler, EGR delete, Passat PD130 turbo and manifold, Exhaust system, ARP head studs, Rocketchip ECU with 3 bar map sensor. Approx 170bhp.

The day I picked her up

Notice the really low back end, turns out the suspension had broke

Headlights were playing up so decided to fit a new wiring loom

While doing that inspected the airfilter and decided it deserved a new one :cartman:

Found some cleaner headlights in the garage that came with the car so decided to fit them

Was having an issue with limp mode, then this happend

Boost pipe popped off, refitted it, then tried an old trick, feeding Mr.Muscle oven cleaner into the hot side of the turbo, which seems to have solved the limp mode for now.

Originally I was going to make the car look as standard as possible but decided what the hell, its not going to be a daily so started tinkering.

The interior fitted currently isn't a GTI interior, so decided to remove the rear seats

Then this came in the post

Will eventually be accompanied by bucketseats

Quite fancy playing on the Porsche bling and adding a Porsche steering wheel and Wheels as well.

Few niggles to sort out and then can hopefully buy some new things for it like bucketseats, steering wheel, new wheels etc.

EBC discs and Greenstuff pads all around, a few more bits of maintenance underneath. Also fitted some smoked indicators I won on eBay for 99p, not 100% sure on them but the OEM were broken so kept falling out.
