Annoying creaking around the steering wheel

No matter how I position the bl**dy thing it will not stop. Its not overly loud but just really irritatiing. The creaking doesnt come from any part around the steering wheel/colum in particular, pushing against it can help stop it but that doesnt kill it completely. didnt know if anyone knew of a way to help stop it, otherwise I may rip the lot out.

I fond in mine it was a squeak from between clocks and small cover below them interfering, i used thin felt from a mates work to cure it, sorry i know that aint much help but may give you a place to check!

When you say the small covering is that the cover that sits on top of the colum just behind the steering wheel or a cover behind the glass? Did the felt near enough get rid of it? If so I think i'll be having a go at that.

I also have this creaking/rattle from the clocks area, will try the felt cheers stpete !

No 8 in this pic was creaking as it moved against dials!!

Not at all, clipped in front of wheel under clocks!!!
