There is an annoying creaking noise comming from the back of the car when i go over even a slight bump in the road. I've had all the trim near enough apart and all i can think it could be are the green clips that tidy up the brake light cables etc.

What is this stupid creaking noise? Its doing my headin!!!

Headrest, backrests, headliner. Loads of options in the ibizas interior........

The back of the car is almost bare and its still creaking! Gonna have to get more drastic tommorow i think!

I had this problem, I stripped it out and it was still doing it. The issue is where the rear shocks go into the chassis. Loosen the bolts inside the wheel arch only slightly wand grease it with spray grease. This worked for me.

I had all the trim out in the back of the car and even took the green clips out and the noise was still there, so i suspect the sound is comming from around the strut mount, and i might try to loosen the bolts a bit and use some mechanical grease.

the rear shock mounts were faulty on my old mk4 (as well as most of the suspension components ) they made a annoying creak, knock driving over even very smooth roads.

Right i think i know what it is!

The monkeys at Hobins of Seat replaced the axel bushes for the shocks but they seem to have overtightened it causing the creaking noise under even the lightest of bumps on the road, so tommorow i am going to slaken them up and tighten them up correctly and let them settle in.

Gonna get coilovers next month anyroad as the stock suspension is crrraaaaaaaaaaappppppppppp! Might treat myself to those uprated powerflex bushes too since the stock ones last 2 and a half years :(
