Anti roll bar prob?

Gone to fit my front ARB today and it would seem I am missing a couple of key parts on the underneath of my car.

Accordin to my diagram it is the bolt and bracket which sits on the next hole down from the rear subframe bolt.

So one end of my ARB fits at the front end of the subframe then the arm swings back and goes up over the rear end of the subframe across to the other.

I have the bushes for the part that connects the ARB to the rear of the subframe I just don't have the bracket or bolts on my car.

Any help anyone?

Mine is only a 98 1.4 so is probably not meant to have any ARB parts already on.

Hi - are you talking about a Neuspeed rear bar? From your description, I think this is the bit that you have to make as the kit is designed for a slightly different car. You need to make up some angle brackets to get it to fit. If you can wait until this evening I can probably take some piccies of how Badger Bill fitted mine.

its a pissy little clip & m8 bolt that retains the bar & bush to the subframe

My eibach kit cam with the clips as I had a 1.4 ibiza at the time so wasnt an issue

its a maindealer parts job...

Would you know what they are called exactly so I can explain to a parts department, because knowing me I will just get it wrong?

Or do you possibly have the parts number?

Phoned them, didnt have a clue.
E-mailed them the above photo, yeh we have one of them
Went to fetch it today, no mate its a dealer only part
FFS, are you retarded, waste of a drive!

Can anyone help me on the part number?

Like I said in #7, it a maindealer part, go down with that diagram and by looking at the etka schematics you should be able to ID the part easy.

sorry stu I should of just gone to the main dealer straight away but GSF seemed to think they had them.

x2 clips and x2 bolts came to £3.55

Ordered from a VW garage as I am hopin there isn't a slight difference in the seat ones.

Bar has gone on today no problems.

good work, hope you got the tracking done as moving the subframe would of mucked up the geo

now you need a rear one cos it'll understeer.

You can just make the clip out I had to buy! Otherwise it would of been on sooner!

Don't tend to get understeer seems more over but it does like to glide on the road but I haven't stopped smiling.

Well worth the pennies

Gave it a proper chucking and I got some understeer.

So I kinda have an idea of it at the min, gonna take lots of practice to get the feel of the car right so I know my boundaries and to keep within them.
