Ant's Platinum Leon Cupra

So I took the plunge and bought a Leon Cupra. Driving it home yesterday I thought to my self, why did I not buy one of these earlier!

So its a 52 Plate Cupra. Is completely standard, has a Clifford Intellguard alarm installed, service history, and yesterday I saw 34mpg....

I dont have many a plan to mod it, I'd rather maintain it and keep it running. I might be tempted later on though to go for a remap or something. I just love the look of them as they are!

The only thing niggling at me at the moment is the exhaust is knocking underneath. I can sort that out. I want to give it a good clean inside and out.

There is a carbon fiber engine cover on it too. Where do I look to find exactly what engine I have? Can someone tell me?

Needless to say I am sad the Corrado is gone, but this certainly makes up for it!

I took the old girl out today and gave her a clean and then took some photos! Here are the results []

With my mates new Ibiza.

She's looking good again! Gotta get some more of the little tar spots off, but am getting there. Spent ages with a clay bar!

What do you all think. I will grab some shots of the engine bay at some point!

Like your photography skills too. I had my LCR remapped on saturday and it is amazing! The difference is crazy. But I still get the same if not better mpg

p.s is your rear wiper missing?

Yeah it is broken. The previous owner broke it in a car wash...

I did get a very good deal with it. its sounds as a nut, got a few little niggles with things but I am slowly getting to the bottom of it all!

So then MOT was last week.... £500 odd later...

I now have the following:

Two new front tyres - Continental Sport Contact 2 SSR
Both new lower arms
New ball joints
Center Exhaust pipe
New Rear discs
and a light bulb.

I have also recently fitted a new rear wiper arm, from a Fabia. Looks a million time better and wipes better than the standard.

Will get some photos of it. Looks rather swish! I will also get some shots of the engine bay - that looks swish actually as its all nice and clean!
