Any one know the story of this car??

Guys,

Looking for an ibiza cupra 1.8t...

Just scouting through ad's etc and came across this car...seller says its a cat c....but been told damage was minimal....now i know cat c is write off and to be weary of it etc but a bargain price for a cupra R if its been mended right...

just wanted to know if anyone had owned this or if they knew of the true extent of the damage??

Any help or comments welcome :)

I don't know the story of that car, but my Cupra was a cat C. I checked it had had a VIC report, made sure everything was aligned and all the panel gaps were right, and obviously took it for a blast to make sure it ran/drove fine. It did and I got myself a Cupra for pretty much half what people on here want for theirs. Bargain.

well thats what i was thinking mate bargain if its straight....i appraise cars for damage at work etc anyway so if i get to see it i should be able to tell....

Plus it means keeping one of the R's alive too...

dont mind the cat C thing at all if its had a good repair :D

I wouldnt pay the money that the dealer wants for a cat C Car!#

also if the damage was minimal it would of been a cat D

the damage to mine was minimal, il try n stick a link or a pic up if i can find it...literally was a small crumple to the front but the fact that it had dinked the cross member too upgraded it from cat D to C even though the damage wasnt that significant

I know there not extra special....but if i had the choice it would be an R and if i can get one at that price thats been repaired to a good standard then id be happy :)

seems good if as ive said the repair is good....pity its a bit far from me to pop by and have a squint at it...
