any options you weren't expecting?

when i ordered my mk1 fr tdi in 04 the salesman said it would come with manual mirrors and the single cd player. i wasn't bothered about the latter as i'm a radio man 100% of the time (cd player hasn't been used ... ever.) however i was a bit gutted re: mirrors as i knew i'd want to fold them in each night (car parked on street, bus route etc.)

so, when i collected the car (october 04) i was pleasantly surprised when the salesman opened the drivers door and said this is your control for the electric mirrors . also got the multi cd changer ... never used to this day .

for those who bought their mk1 new, any options on it you weren't expecting?

they all have electric mirrors, its just whether they fold in or not thats the difference
mine dont
but are electrically controlled.

If its any thing like the skodas you get packages

ie order dual zone climate and you get rear electric windows and the jumbo box,
order autodimming mirrors and you get light and rain assist.
