Any way to tell XDS is working?

Is there an easy way to tell if XDS is working?
Does the ESP or TCS light flash for example?

I suspect that with the 1.2 TSI I don't round corners fast enough for it to work anyway so I'm really just curious. I can hear a scrubbing noise but I think that's just the tyres on the road. It's supposed to brake the inside front wheel in a curve but I guess you're unlikely to hear that.

Traction control does that on the straight. Does it flash going around twisty bits too?

Only noticed it flashing cornering if I've been on the power at the sametime, so it could just be the tc.
