Before getting DS2500 from Bill I was running Green Stuffs (after an ill fated purchase) and they were appalling. I actually replaced them when they were only half way through as they just didn't stop the car once they got too hot.

Can't speak highly enough about the DS2500 though. My worry was using them when cold but they work much better than the green stuffs ever did at all temperature ranges.

God!

I can't believe how much bad stuff I've heard about EBC Brakes.... and yet, some people still rave on about them - lol

I suppose you know that?
I ran Galfer floating rotors on one of my short time MC-projects, and back then they were rated very high.
Maybe they have a poor, good and best type of range or just a OEM range. I don't know.
It just surprised me to hear that something we don't rate very highly, rated very highly in the MC-days.

The Galfer group buy threads are still about on the forums, there were are variety of spec's available (1045's, 1055's and 1065's IIRC) many of the purchasers were unhappy with severely scored disks on various Galfer compounds.

I agree with Bill though what works on one car may not work on another (performance, weight of vehicle etc all being factors) even to the extent that I recall LCR owners running ICR pads in their Brembo's.....the compounds didn't suit the LCR with pads breaking up and wearing quickly.

not all EBC stuff is bad... some seems to work fine, and is actually very good value.
pads I dont personally rate (any of the colours)

Maybe its their own combination of pad/disk which results in some peeps issues. and of course some people use them on track which is severe duty, and then experience issues, which is a bit harsh when track use is way harder than any road use...

ds2500's seem to work nice with em tho..
