Hi everyone

Really need some help I think I need to change the motor on my drivers door? The problem I am having is that my central locking will lock all the doors fine, but when I unlock them the drivers door remains lock and I have to use the key in the barrel?

Any tips or help would be very much appreciated

Thanks in advance, Pacey

the only advice I could give is when taking the the metal panel off (ancillaries carrier) which the motor is attached to if you havent repaired/replaced the seal underneath it already (see andys guide if not http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=44216) you will not be aware that you will probably need to replace it again!

Also make sure you take your time on it and undo the bolts at the bottom first

vagcat.com will have plenty of diagrams if you don't have ETKA

good luck

im sure i started a thread on this with links to vortex, could try searching threads started by me. do not let the torx bolt holding the door lock/door lock blank fall our as its a pain in the arse after that happens.

try another dealer mine was only £92 but yes they are alot but i wouldnt buy second hand as the same thing will happen sooner rather than later. check if you have a TPS centre near you basically all oem vw,audi, skoda, seat parts

don't be afraid to venture out to other areas of this forum!...there are at least a couple that will offer 10% off...ted johnson and seresmotors spring to mind.
try fleabay and also go to online breakers you type in the part you need and they will search the breakers for you and return with a quote.
The job you have to do is time consuming and awkward but the guides should help!

Got to disagree with tolly getting them second hand they break as there another flawed vw item just get one new with a warranty.
