Anyone fitted Bose speakers to Leon fr ?

Standard speakers are sh*^e . Im looking for replacements at the moment

Anyone got any suggestions for replacements ? Carnt believe there is a audio section on this site !!!!!

Yeah pretty sure it would. The system size doesn't change, just the surround that it fits in depending on the car. Doubt that the rear connections would differ.

No. Too much hassle as the door cards have to come out. I just used speaker and wiring adaptors then snipped wire 2 on the adaptor to disable the OEM tweeter. This leaves the OEM wiring intact so you can easily revert back to stock.

If you dont snip the wire then wont the oem tweeter still work aswell as the new aftermarket speaker you put in?
I put new door speakers in my ibiza which had seperate tweeters and id heard when you plug aftermarket speakers in they wont work but mine still did, i didnt touch any of the wiring just plugged straight in

Yup. You can have the OEM tweeters running as well if you don't snip the wire. I did mine because there are no crossovers anywhere and the tweeters weren't sounding wonderful. The tweeters in my Pioneers are miles better.

Pretty much, but just be aware of canbus issues and battery drain.

Obviously you'll need the double din facia too.

You need adaptors otherwise the rear of the speakers will be hit by the windows each time you open them. Have a read of this thread:-

The sak 3103 adaptors also allow the bass box to be bigger so better sound!

The front and rear speakers are 6.5 inch. But the rear ones are quite shallow hence the window catching. New adaptor to bring them further out like the front ones does the trick.

hey all sorry old thread but has anyone ever tried this? how did they get on?
