Anyone know if theres a removable gromit from the engine bay through to the cabin

Anyone know if theres a removable gromit from the engine bay through to the cabin? Or an easy way of getting my amp feed to the boot?

From what i've been reading, you'll see the bonnet release cable goes from the engine bay through to inside. It's at the very top of the engine bay on the drivers side.

If you look over to the passenger side, there is an identical hole but with a grommet in. Should be able to shove it though there.

My power cable seems to be lost in the post Otherwise i'd have some pictures or something... should be easy though.

yeah it's usually infront of where the passenger sits, has been on all my VW but never put sub in a Seat

quite low down so just have a good look xD

I routed mine from behind the battery/through the passenger footwell

i routed my power cable through the passenger side...did it about 2 yeats back so forgotten but will have a check tonight for you

exactly the same as VWs, they're so cheap

i managed to sly mine thru this hole here, even tho on the picture it dusnt actually go thru

then as u can just see here theres anutha hole under the catch tray,

and then if u take this side panel off and shove ur hand in u shud feel the wire,

anddddd the wires will be out of the way in the engine bay because the wire comes straight out the battery and thru the hole

I took the same approach as lgsnoddy, I have two cables running through there (10 and 8 AWG) which have been there over 2 years and never had a problem

Yeah put it through the two grommets on the pas side of the engine bay. Looks nice and neat too! Just remove the top of the glove box and push the fire proofing to one side and u should feel it pop right through.
