anyone know or have a diy for removing complete wing mirror assembley from the door

Hey mate, they are a nightmare!

Use this speaker thread to look into how to take the card off, basically this needs to come off to get to the mirror. Only problem is the window runners and all electrics are attached to the door card.

Yep done it myself when mirror was loose. Remove speaker and shine torch through door bottom drain hole. You will see the nut holding the mirror on. Long socket extension with a u/j and Fanny's yer Aunt..................

I've tried this method 3 times now and can't tighten my mirror !! Arm looks like a cats had a good claw.

I'll not be beat. Try again on Sunday!
