How much do they charge?

My dpf delete and remap cost £300 and they even fitted my egr blanking plates aswell free

This was with a very reputable tuner in northern ireland before people start saying im running some generic map with my dpf hanging off

Just out of curiosity why do you guys on the mainland pay so much for tuning? I know you have some top tuners but say the actual dpf removal and egr blank had about 2-3 hours labour so say the £170 tops if they want to charge highish labour, so your paying say £500 for somebody to map out your dpf and then tweak it a bit to have it running right, most of you guys running 215-220 for a normal dpf removal map? Our engine pushes near 200 just with the dpf removed alone

DPF removal software is usually £150, Then you have to add tuning software, then hardware removal labour cost etc

holmefield, i settled for 210bhp/315ftlbs and there is no difference in smoke 2bh, a nice upgrade and definately a noticeable difference in power and the smoothness through the revs, not sure how aggressive the maps are from the guys on youtube but theres some crazy amount of smoke off them, 210-215 wont be noticeable if done right

mines sitting at 208 to be exact with no smoke, bit of a haze on cold mornings but thats it, an over reading dyno will give a higher before map dyno reading too which mine didnt so i can safely say if you stick to around 210 youll be fine as regards to smoke
are there people on here running 210 with bad smoke?

Yer sounds about want shark told me this morning, around 210/215 bhp with Dpf Delete and stage one map ( which I already have ) and there shouldn't be to much smoke...But he did say that there WILL be some smoke on harder reving due to the fact theres no DPF there.

I was advised that I should see a slight difference over my stage 1 map @ lower revs and it'll feel a little quicker though the revs, Mpg should get slightly but only slightly better as @ the mo my stage 1 map is throwing more fuel into the car and all the smoke is being stopped by the DPF...

I've been quoted 5/6 hrs for the work and a price of £420.00 including vat....

Can you put a pic of your before and after dyno graph up, wouldn't mind seeing when your peak bhp and torque comes in, a lot of print outs I have seen all the power comes in really early.

My car is 205 on stage 1 and is certainly not just a haze, it smokes from half throttle all the way up the rev range, my back end is covered in soot within a few days of my normal commute to work which is under 10 miles 1 way

remove your own dpf and then come to me for mapping ill do it all for £150 :funk:

carnt belive people charge for dpf off software and then a performance remap ontop its all the same bloody thing you are tuning the car to the mods that are done if you remove the dpf that is a mod so why the hell do you have to pay extra ?

I watched them do mine and if you have an angle grinder a hammer and a chisel you could literally do it yourself, then get alocal welder to weld your cutout back up
Good gains alone just from ripping out the dpf

Do you know what, i was a bit shocked when Shark quoted me £420.00!!!! Yesterday to gut and refit my Dpf & map out the regen..

its already running a shark stage1 map so £420.00 for a map tweek and Dpf removal seems high.they quoted 5/6hrs!!! For the job to surely it doesnt take that long, i recon i could get the thing out and back in a couple of hours just couldnt edit the software.i'm wondering now whether 10/15 bhp is worth i say it AGAIN £420.00..

what are peoples thoughts on this ???? is it worth shelling out for
