Have you spoken to your dealership?

We had an XCELLENCE with the bi-colour wheels and an FR with the standard wheels in the showroom for the launch weekend. When we sold the FR the customer said he preferred the bi-colour (yes, it seems at least two people like them!:p ) so we swapped them.

Left us with a Monsoon Grey XCELLENCE that actually looked better than when it left the factory, that sold quickly afterwards.

Win/win [B)]

I did ask, but all they could offer was ordering the wheels as an accessory, which was going to be a lot more expensive :(

There are lots of websites you can find the right wheels you’d want. Would it not be better to have the standars free ones and then replace them Yourself?

Well today my local dealer advised that their next build slots for a custom factory order would result in a minimum 16 week wait for a 1.5 Ibiza don’t want to wait that long as my current Leon is due major servicing/Cambelt before then so decided not to place an order. Got a great deal on a showroom Leon Xcellence instead.

Seems factory orders are too much hassle these days only 4 years ago I got my factory build Leon in 7 weeks but lead times these days are crazy. I’ll maybe look at the Ibiza facelift in 3-4 years time.

Re going to 18's ride and fuel costs. Toledo Mk 4 drivers report little difference in the ride between 17 or18s. Whatever the dealer says, the economy suffers- a Toledo TSi drops about 3 mpg going up to 17s, and the one TDI I knew of on 18s dropped about 7mpg compared with stock 16s.

That’s a huge wait. God. I reckon since us lot got the ‘limited editon’ alcantara seating we’ll get better value of our cars aha. Basically are limited editions now.

Girlfriend just picked up her new Ibiza SE Tech. The red is
Dealer told us there was a 3 month wait on the FR model.

Finally :funk: I've got my Ibiza. White, automatic aircon, small colour radio, front assist, radar assisted cruise control, 4+4 parking sensors and rear camera, beats speakers with a subwoofer (I think... a large thing with wires, in place of the spare tire - sales people totally forgot to mention it), arm rest. 70kW 5-speed manual, perfectly fine for me.

And I've received a notification from the post office - that might be the head-up display. Ok, I've ordered the cheapest one from China, but it looks good on pictures.

You got an armrest?

Not as standard equipment - gave the dealer list of parts I've found on this forum. :) Also purchased the rear bumper protection thingy, that however is somewhat disappointing: it's just a super thin piece of transparent plastic.

How much did the transparent foil cost?

I've got one dedicated to my Golf, costed just about 10 pounds.

Transparent foil, Seat's code 6F0071363, was about 25 pounds (in Croatia). I guess I must have picked one of those items they use to increase their profits. At least they did give me 10% discount of all the extras (the foil, armrest, front 6F0075111 and rear 6F0075101 mud guards = 64 pounds for both, winter tires).

If lead times on the Ibiza look bad, take a look at the Fiesta Mk 8 situation on www.fordownersclub.com - some people will have been waiting up to 7 months before they see their cars!

Got an email from my dealers today to say my car has been built and is at the port in Spain waiting to be loaded on to a ship to the UK..... only another 2/3 weeks until it's at the dealers. :)

Oooh what engine did you go for?

The 1.0 litre 95bhp engine. I test drove it back in October and it was good enough for my needs, didnt feel any less powerful than the 1.4 litre Volvo V40 I had a few years ago.

I’ve ordered a 1.5 TSI EVO FR...can’t wait for it! 2 drawbacks but can’t be helped, the 1.5s are still in production I was told and won’t be ready until week 20 and my expected delivery date is the first week of July which really sucks!
