anyone taken on a gti-6?

I just had 4 of them & 2 106 gti's after me lol...and thats not an exaduaration! i parked up & obviously a meet was going on...drove off and they all raced after me..i dusted them all of course...but the gti-6's werent that easy to get rid of, apparently the guy said they were outputting around 200bhp

my point to this topic is, is that normal? or is there something up with my car..my stats are under the sig

used to have a gti6 and as std there very very quick, but with 253bhp u should have dusted them off on the straights.

it was all straights i dont do bends....but even modded to 200bhp? i was kind of toying with them letting them speed past first but it wasnt massive pull away, probably three car lengths to 70...one of the guys after was saying my car was making strange noises....but i think he just doesnt know what a turbo spooling up sounds like

They're 170bhp standard, my mate has one... They are quick.

And a 200bhp would be rapid. But with your 253 bhp you should have pretty easily gotten away.

well ive not played with one yet, but my mate has a 106 gti with a stage3 gas flowed head, cams , 4 branch and probably some other crap ive helped him do at some point and that is a close one but his wiped the floor with a few gti-6's so im stumped,

i can see it going to the 'scrapyard'

rob b off here has a 306 rallye before his cupra with the following mods..


forge fmic, forge tip, tb exhaust, filter and stage 2 and he said he wasted his old rallye and they quicker than the gti 6

i reckon you might have a few running issues. 253 I would of thought u would have no probs. Have u stuck it on vagcom?

Out of intrest where was this 'meet'?

The standard Gti-6 runs about 170bhp and my mates used to d**k on me all day long till i got mine mapped then it was fairly even, i don't know weather it made a difference with it being a 6 speed 'box?

dan it wasnt a seat meet, it was a peugoet owners meet, i just happened to turn up in the same car park haha...had nothing to do with them but they clearly all had something to prove...and failed. Nope wasnt camberley...im not going there again lol

I havent VAG-com'd it but shes blowing blue smoke, has been since i bought her...but i didnt think the leak had effected performance...perhaps i was wrong

253bhp out of k03s, where was it rr, jabba by any chance, stevegti6 was mapped at jabba, got 253bhp on jabbas rollers, and 225bhp on another set , or around that figure , jabbas rollers are out IMO

thats interesting to know, i was thinking about a jabba map as im not that happy with my revo stg2, but if steve got 225bhp on another set of rollers, id be happy if mine got a decent 230bhp from my revo map. according to logss thats approx what im running.

I'm sure 250 out of k03s is possible. When I had mine RR'd their were plenty of other k03s' that all got between 220-230, then I got 250 so I think it was an accurate reading. that wasn't at jabba and i don't have a jabba chip tho lol

I think it is possible to get 250bhp out of a k03s as we know alex from TTS had 259bhp out of his k03 but its only possible running v.high boost and the peak figures dont last long. Not many k03s will run a true 250bhp imo as when they are mapped they are mapped to the tuners reliable boost levels.

it was RR'd at a place called stealth racing?? or dynoplot..ive got the results infront of me, saying 253.4 at the fly

..ive got a slip of 1/4 mile times ranging from 13.81 - 13.9 etc... so i assume it is running a comfortable 250??? I've been told people with jabba custom maps people have got more power out of the turbo than revo stg2's etc...

it spikes at around 23 psi......its also quite a well known cupra i think, owned by a guy called mk4polo on here..

blue smoke = signs of buggered turbo as one of the seals is leaking.....i know this for a a fact but didnt notice any power loss or the turbo getting any worse, its been like it since i bought it, still pulls nice
