Arches on the MK2

Hi,

Does anyone have a link where i can get some wider arches for my MK2?

Ive seen the plastic ones on ebay for a MK3 but where can i get em for the mk2.

The rear arch rust problem on the MK2.... Has anyone had thier arches repaired? Could do with a ball park figure so i know im not being ripped off.

think the mk3 arches you are on about will fit onto the mk2, I can remember someone on here fitted them before.

Cheers, give me a shout if you do sell them. There are some mk3 ones on the bay. About 40 quid i think. Thats cheap as chips. Only problem is, once fitted am gunna need some wheel spacers and some longer studs. Would be worth it thow, ive seen the on the mk2 and they look sweet.

Are they just arch extensions?

they're just arch 'spats' and sit on top of your existing arch.

they don't actually allow you to fit wider wheels or anything...... they just 'look' wider.

if you want proper wide arches, take a look at RobT's car..... : drool :

Unsure weather that will work coz their not listed anymore. I was watching them in my ebay.

If you took the existing arch off under the lip this would give an inch or two to space the wheels or put wider ones on.

Sorry surcalation only now looked at this thread. Haven't got a pic lost everything on my pc when it overheated and gave up on me

It was posted on here a while ago but I have been busting my brain to think of his name but can't remember sorry, all I can tell you it was on a dark green mk2.
