good find Steve, bet loads of people fall foul thinking the fronts do the steering / driving so they must be better off with new up front. If only I had that luxury as the Audi does all 4 at a time!

Yeh i know the dangers of not having a decent set of tyres on the back but at the same time if you went to any other garage they wouldnt say a thing because it would be upto the consumer if they would want to change the backs. I dont disagree with what they say at all but its a bit annoying when I have good tread on the rear and I changed all four for the sake of saving money (which by the way was a great deal) and sold the other two they took off the back.

I suspect it's cheaper than when I binned a perfectly good 18 month old Mk1 Cupra because of poor quality rear tyres and brand new fronts

70MPH + Rain + Armco = Expensive repair Bill

I have to admit there was driver error but the back end should never have been fish tailing out of shape under braking the way it did....

In that case can't you move the part-worn rears to the front and put new tyres on the rear?

Nah I didnt want to put the part worn ones on the front because I bought 4 brand new ones so I may as well use them and I sold the part worns for £30 each so really I paid £260 for 4 which to me was a great bargain and thats tyhe only reason I sold the part worns.

To the guy asking about Yokohama Parada's - yep they are an awesome tyre, best ive had by miles. Had them on FTO for 2 years and still half the tread left when i sold it. Its like driving on glue! But as you would expect they are pony in the wet. Best looking tyre on market aswell - but not that it matters!
