Hi,

The GF has a Leon Sport TDi 140, from day one we have thought the car was rather rapid for a standard car.

The car was ordered brand new, within the first 400 miles we took it to France and put another 2000 miles via the mountains, To be honest it was like the test drive from heaven.

Anyway we are upto 15k now in 9 months, Finally we had the chance to put the car on the rolling road. This was done on a new Dyno Dynamics dyno at Torque of the Devil with is run my ex-Power Engieerings dyno daddy Chris Todd.

We ran the car yesterday 3 times as we were all :-o :-o :wtf:

It managed a respectable 145bhp, with 290lbft of torque :wtf:  [B)] To say she was happy was an understantment.

I am going to post the dnyo graph now, the funny thing I was the gutted one as mine was 30bhp what I thought it was:censored:  fast ford was there to do a feature.

I just wondered if anyones had the same thing? There was a tell tale sign the car was fast as it was smoked like a nutter, the car has never been remapped either.

Seat's in general seem to understate the true performance of their cars, both engine power and 0-60 / in gear times ..

Dunno why, perhaps so they dont look as good as a VW / Audi when in fact they are, or perhaps to do with insurance.

Either way, yes generally the cars are quicker than what it says on the tin.

/edit 290lbft of torque sounds a lot though, considering it should be around 236 !

nice.
do they do the 170bhp in seats yet?

m8's got a 170 golf GT previously a 140, goes well.

Funny thing was when we bought this I had the mk1 TDi revo'd and when i drove hers there was not a massive difference.

From running 35 cars that day the dyno was on the money, even if my ST was down 30bhp

We had a stardard St150 Fiesta there that got 149.1 so I guess its right, still going to chip it ;)

The BHP plot is the tallest plot and is read on the left scale, the torque plot is smaller and is read on the right scale.

I'm really interested in getting my FR tested. Does anyone know some Midland based testers? Birmingham,Coventry,Wolverhampton, etc
