Handed my well cared for FR over for repairs on Monday. Not only did they take 3 days to fix the mirror they also managed to give me back my car with half the paintwork missing off the back bumper. Word of warning folks check you car with fine tooth comb as on a scale of 1 to 10 my level of trust in dealers is minus 10

Won't name and shame yet as we will see what dealer principles willing to do. Minimum it needs is a paint job plus another trip to be detailed again ....needless to say I won't be paying.

Think 2 faulty mirrors, now this! Might be time to move it on

My old car was scuffed on the front bumper mysteriously when in at the stealers. Naturally it wasn't them according to the service manager - I only noticed the next morning as it was dark when I picked the car up :censored:

Every SEAT dealer, somehow, is wank.

I won't be buying SEAT again after this one. Probably stay VAG, if I had the money I'd go Audi or go over to Mercedes, but probably will end up with a Skoda next time, as I know my local Skoda dealer has a great reputation.

I'm about to pick up my new 60 plate LCR from a Nissan dealer (they got is as a part ex for a GTR) anyway they're refurbing the wheels cause they had a couple of chips in a couple and one was a bit kurbed, the body shop have had it for over a week now, and i got a call yesterday saying they weren't happy with trhe finish on the refurb so they're doing it properly now, stripping back to aluminium and painting back to factory spec black gloss.

Anyway, makes me wonder what else they've had to do that took them a week in the first place, and now have to "re-do" the repairs they did...... I will be picking it up tomorrow, might take a few more minutes to check there aren't new wings panels or suspension parts, just in case someone went for a joy ride that went wrong..... WHO KNOWS WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR CAR WHEN YOU'RE NOT THERE!

Good thing (in some ways) i dont own it yet!

Hopefully i'm just paranoid CANT WAIT TILL I PICK IT UP!!

It is really bad. You do feel like not wanting to let it go out of your sight. I know of damage to two areas of my car caused by dealers but I'd never get them to admit it.

It is all dealers, yes. It's taken porsche 8 months to deliver a car to my parents when they said it would be 3. The first car took 5 months and was ordered wrong.

But in general this is a SEAT Dealer bashing thread is it not? this thread wasnt started to discuss PUG for instance was it?

Xreyuk - "Every SEAT dealer, somehow, is wank"

Now unless you have tried every dealer in the UK is that not a little bit false?

Also i find... it depends on how you treat them back tbh. Yeh MK and Crewe SEAT weren't the best out there but then again its not just car dealers... Motorcycle dealers are the same

Agree though if they damage it they should fix it

Is that the dealers fault or is that Porsche UK/ Porsche Germany's fault?

alot of things are out of the dealers hands, now they can keep you updated more

A guy I work with bought an ex demo BMW from his local dealer and the day before he was due to pick it up he got a phone call to say the technician who serviced it wrote it off when test driving

So even the "high brow" dealer screw up ;)

I would like to stick up for an odd dealer or two !

Grants Seat have been excellent with the Leon
Ipswich Audi were great when I had my S4 cabriolet

and Marshalls Skoda Ipswich (not sure if they are still Marshalls or not) also gave brilliant service when I had my Octavia vRS and Fabia vRS

They reckon it wasn't their fault, but the way they've handled the whole situation is appalling. My dad made a complaint and he then had the dealer principal on the phone shouting at him... When he finally explained the situation he apologised slightly but there has still not been any written apology for ordering the vehicle wrong.
