I've got the armrest fitted in my new leon.

Was fitted by the dealer, and in my opinion is well worth it. When you open the lid there is a shallow storage space (enough for sunglasses, phone etc) and a rubber 'mat'. Lift up the rubber mat and you still have the cupholders below:) Probably not possible to use them as cupholders anymore but can still be used for storage.

Fitted mine the other day, child's play to fit- drill 5 holes screw it on and stick foam cover over screw heads.

Bit expensive for what it is but it is a very nice addition. £100

Spoke to a dealership about fitting it myself and for the extra 20 mins work it'll take the dealership, may be worth letting them do it for the warranty aspect of it. Havne;t got mine fitted yet though so keep me posted

Get one fitted matey, makes a real difference to the interior. I've got the armrest and the 'fake aluminium' trim in mine that also really lifts the interior. I sat in the new Cupra on Monday and thought this doesnt look good, especially the door trim (hard plastic). Got in mine in the evening and tons better. Only things i preferred in the Cupra was the leather gear knob gaiter and steering wheel.
