Very nice, the wheels make all the difference. There are two black Exeos in the car park at work now, both leave me a little cold... but the wheels on yours make a big difference. Nice :)

Thanks

It's the Sport 170 tdi (hence the wheels and the lower ride height) The wheels certainly make a huge difference to the look.

It has the Xenons, Convenience pk, Winter pk and was supposed to have the solar roof, but it seems they put a standard one in (no solar panels in glass) so I'll be having words on Monday.

Its really quick too. I heard from "someone" that it still pushed you back in your seat if you floor it at 90 - it still pushed through with plenty of eagerness.

Yeah, the rear windows are darker than the others - not sure I like it, but you can't tell so much on the dark colour paint. It also has the rear window blind.

They call it the "dogging pack" I think ;)

Yeah - the whole thing looks great - shame they don't give you the corner exhausts on the 170 diesel like you get on the 2.0 petrol sport.

Unfortunately, the car is going back due to the order mix up. (Ordered the Sport Tech and got the standard Sport ... and no solar roof)

So I'm now at the back of the queue for mine again. This one took 74 days to arrive, I just hope the lead times haven't increased much ...

I wouldn't count on it, I ordered mine at the beginning of February and have now just been told not to expect it until the end of May / beginning of June.

Oh

Thanks not what I wanted to hear :)

It's worse still because I got to play in one for a weekend, now it's going. Like taking candy from a baby!

I remember back in 2000 ordering my Toledo V5, I ordered it in the summer and back then, the factory seemed to shut down (or skeleton staff) for the whole of August, so that added an extra month.

Andy,

Yeah - I tried that - but they are being a bit grumpy about it. I guess I've waited this long ....

I'm using a Ibiza at the moment from the company pool - so I think I'll stick with that until the new one arrives. I remember how good it felt coming from the Ibiza to the Exeo - so I guess I can look forward to that feeling again.

It's like wearing shoes 2 sizes too small, just to get the great feeling of taking them off :)

Also the Ibiza seems to run on fresh air, so I can save a bit of cash in the mean time.

Ordered on the 1st March, delivery date is estimated to be week 26 - mid June I am hoping.

Yeah, two and a half months seems to be about average.

Ironically, by the time it turns up, I probably won't even need the solar roof :)

Hi,

Not sure the amount of extras would have a huge bearing. Have you seen how efficient the factories are. All your parts would be ready, it's just the production line queue.

For example, if you ordered xenons, they just put the front bumper assembly with the xenons that has already been made up, same with the dash, if you have satnav, they choose the prebuilt dash with satnav installed.

Have a look at this (I know it's for the new Audi, but similar production line methods) :-

Mine took 74 days - was 3 weeks earlier than they quoted on the initial order.
