Please can u guys confirm the max time it would take to fit the coolant temp switch as i have been charged £76 for labour on the above job all help would be well appreciated thanks

that'll be an hours minimum charge I'd have thought @ about £65/hr

in reality it might be that including diagnosing the fault, fitting the part, clearing teh fault, testing that it doesn't return

disgraceful, takes all of 5 mins to change and the part is about £18

yes - but how long to diagnose, test etc..

it's not all about the fitting is it.....

how annoyed would you be if you paid for 15 mins labour, and had to keep coming back because you didn't want them to test or diagnose faults.

why not just buy the part yourself and fit it?
