Auto Dimming Mirror

Does anyone know if the sensitivity of the auto dimming mirror can be adjusted ?

I've had auto dimming mirrors on various cars for over 5 years and never gave them a thought. But on the Mk5 Ibiza it doesn't dim enough to stop me being dazzled. It will only dim fully when the lights from behind are really blinding.

I have an ST Sport with tinted windows, could the darkened glass be reducing the amount of light reaching the mirror sensor and preventing it from dimming properly ?

It works fine on my boc and that has tint's?

I take it the green light is on on the mirror?

The miror works when it's switched on it just doesn't seem sensitive enough. It goes dark green if a torch is pointed at the sensor. But headlights from behind only make it go very slightly green and not enough to stop the dazzle.

No problems with mine either - maybe it's faulty.

That said it's my first car an auto dimming mirror, so I guess I had no expectations of how it should work.
