AUX In Left Speaker only

Hello

I have recently picked up my FR and love it. I have just 1 small very minor issue.

When I plug my ipod into the AUX In I only get sound from the left speaker, I have had a quick look around the audio settings and checked that the balance between left and right is correct and it is so I am at a loss.

Anyone experienced this issue, any help would be appreciated?

Have you checked to make sure its not the lead?

If you are using a stereo cable, one part may be damaged. I had this issue in a former car.

Also, if you are using a mono lead try a stereo and vice versa.

did you check if the cable was all the way down ?

Checked the cable, its all the way in and Its a stereo cable but still no joy. Think I will get a better cable and see if that works if not will take it to the dealers

I've had this also, even bought another cable, same thing.

It seems to go away for some time with some rotation of the cable in the socket but it will eventually come back...

sounds like a faulty socket with aux in, try the cable in a stereo or something similar and if it works in there then its most likely a fault unfortunately it will mean a trip to the stealers

I did get this fixed, it was the cable. The lead I bought from maplin didn't work so I managed to find a lead I bought a couple of years ago and that worked.

Not sure what type of lead I have got (mono or stereo) but it works now.

Does anyone know how I can check? so I can let you guys know?

Well it was at the stealers this morning getting the radio fitted becasue it didnt have the aux function when I had the aux input socket. so after 3 months of waiting for them to get me the correct radio which I now have, after a bit of investigation it appears to be the socket itself so looks like another trip to the stealers tomorrow. This is stereo-note the 2 plastic bands dividing the metal part of the plug.
